According to the decision of the Government of Sweden on 27/04/1978, the Swedish Cruising Association is authorized to issue International Certificates for leisure boats. We only issue International Certificates to private individuals living within Europe.

The Swedish Cruising Association has been authorized by the Swedish government to issue international certificates for recreational vessels in accordance with Resolution No 13, ECE, Economic Commission for Europe.

The issuance of an international certificate means that ownership has been made probable. The Swedish Cruising Associationonly issues certificates to private individuals living in Europe and their own privately owned pleasure boats. No intermediaries are accepted.

How much does it cost to apply for a certificate?

Member of the Swedish Cruiser Club

  • New certificate registration SEK 750 per owner, plus SEK 750 per master (if both owner and master are members)
  • Certificate renewal SEK 750

Not a member of the Swedish Cruiser Club, living in Sweden

  • Certificate renewal SEK 1,500 per owner, plus SEK 1,500 per master (if both owner and master are not members)
  • Renewal certificate SEK 1,500 per owner plus SEK 1,500 per master (if both owner and master are not members)

What documents are needed to apply for a certificate?

To apply for a certificate, you need to have the following documents at hand: Vessel details, Vessel measurements, Vessel engine(s), Vessel owner, Vessel master, Passport number, Purchase documents*

*Only purchase documents in Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish and English are accepted. We refer other matters to competent bodies in other EU countries.

How long is the delivery time?

Normal delivery time can be up to 2 weeks after all information is correctly submitted. During holiday periods, the delivery time may be up to 4 weeks.

How to renew a certificate?

Once you have logged into the service, you can view your certificates. On the same page, you can press a button to renew your certificate.
